Job requirements

Mobile Engineer Role

As a mobile engineer your primary responsibility will be to develop software using Flutter. You will be designing, building, testing, enhancing, refactoring and debugging critical mobile applications used by Wise customers.

You will join a cross-functional Agile team alongside web and backend developers, QAs and product owners. Working closely with UX designers you will create intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces. You will optimise application performance to ensure a responsive user experience. In addition to writing code you will be refining user stories, doing code reviews, writing documentation, implementing automated tests and demoing your work to clients & stakeholders.

There are also opportunities for "full stack" development, so if you have some knowledge of Go or React you can also contribute to the backend and web apps. Upskilling, spreading knowledge and learning within the team is encouraged.

Requirements

● Flutter (2+ years experience, or 1 year backed up by comprehensive industry experience with other cross-platform frameworks)

● Familiarity with mobile development frameworks and tools

● Deep experience packaging and shipping mobile apps in at least one of the iOS and Android ecosystems

● Strong experience integrating API’s

● Git

● Test automation

● Agile

● Comfortable with pair programming

● Complex problem solving skills

● Communication and teamwork skills

● User-focus in everything you do

Nice to have (but not essential)

● Computer Science degree

● Figma

● GraphQL

● Go

● Javascript and React

● Proficiency in native mobile development languages, i.e. Swift or Kotlin.
