The role.

We’re looking for a QA Analyst to join our growing Quality Assurance team. They will be responsible for contributing to and upholding the top quality standards of output here at Wise; across our products. The role involves working alongside other QA Analysts and Automation Engineers for all things QA on our diverse platform; web, mobile, DB and messaging platforms.

We’re looking for someone who has experience in:

  • Developing and implementing test strategies & processes

  • Testing tickets & performing regression testing (with the aid of the automation team) to ensure the quality of output before confirming approval of a release

  • Relaying quality success statistics and being able to anticipate and escalate concerns where necessary to the senior team and sprint team

  • Experience of working in varieties of Waterfall and Agile methodologies; Agile being the priority.

  • Experience working with cross functional teams; front & back end developers, designers, product owners & managers etc.

  • Experience using JIRA

  • Ability to map manual tests against requirements to report on requirements traceability

  • Confidence in one’s own abilities to highlight risks or requirement gaps to relevant parties

  • Experience with integration testing web & mobile applications in conjunction with third party systems

  • Experience in reviewing and writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans, test cases and acceptance criteria.

  • Experienced in test documentation: check lists, test cases, bug reports, test reports, clear vision for testing requirements

  • Experience with solutions to test on real devices at scale

  • Understanding of tools for version control (e.g. Git) and continuous integration (e.g. Jenkins, Gitlab) and relevant quality gates that can reduce production bugs and incidents

  • Being able to proactively measure and identifying bottlenecks in the testing approach, focusing on maintaining speed and quality

  • Having excellent communication and influencing skills, the ability to clearly articulate a point of view to both technical and non-technical colleagues

  • Have a passion, enthusiasm for and a deep interest in technology and software engineering

  • A keen desire to constantly innovate and improve QA processes

  • Excellent organisational skills, including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.



Job requirements

The key responsibilities are:


  • Establishing and implementing robust and consistent testing processes & strategies

  • Effectively communicating the testing process, ensuring it is properly understood and supported by all stakeholders

  • Helping to define and support the testing and release management process and ensuring quality is signed off before a release can go;

  • Reporting key QA statistics and escalating risks to Head of Delivery

  • Building strong relationships by collaborating with Product, Delivery and Engineering teams;

  • Being involved and contributing to Agile ceremonies: sprint planning & retrospectives


Nice to have:

  • Experience managing QA teams

  • 5+ years hands on test implementation experience in a QA role

  • An understanding of core software development practices

  • Understanding of PCI compliance and awareness of ISO standards

  • Experience with accountancy &/or financial products/applications (advantageous)

  • Knowledge or experience of automation approaches


Salary and benefits:

  • Basic salary - £30,000 - £40,000 per annum, dependant on experience

  • Company bonus (discretionary) - up to 10% of your annual salary
